The Diver Down Flag is an internanionally recognized symbol created in 1956 to indicate to boaters that divers are swimming in the area of the flag. Every Diver in our State of Hawaii is required by law to place this flag in the area where they dive as a warning to boaters to steer carefully to assure diver safety. We simply placed a shark in the center of the flag to make it interesting.
